Eco Speed Pro: continuously variable hydrostatic transmission

  • The Ecospeed Pro is a continuously variable hydrostatic transmission that achieves higher tractive forces and travel speeds than previously developed solutions. This is achieved while retaining all the advantages of previous travel drives in terms of compactness, energy efficiency, and operator comfort. Eco Speed PRO allows for speeds of up to 40 km/h without shifting. This results in a comfortable driving style, since no tractive force interruptions occur nor can shifting jerks be felt.

 

18.64/24.85 mph speed

  • With the appropriate engine, the machine can reach a speed of 18.64/24.85 mph. This allows the machine to move from A to B more quickly, saving time and increasing efficiency.

 

Automatic air-conditioning system

  • The automatic air conditioning system ensures a pleasant working climate inside the cab when outside temperatures are warm. A conventional air conditioning system usually only cools at one level, which can be regulated by the strength of the fan. The automatic climate control system works with cab sensors and reduces or increases the interior temperature according to the operator's specifications. This ensures a consistent climate and brings the advantage that the air conditioning in the cab can be better adapted to the outside temperatures.
  • The air conditioning system increases comfort enabling the operator to work without fatigue as it reduces the strain on the operator in warm outside temperatures.
  • The control panel for the system is located in the roof lining above the display, and the air nozzles are well distributed throughout the cab, ensuring optimum air circulation.

 

Clear 7-inch digital display

  • The most important functions are always kept in view: With the digital display, the operator always maintains a clear overview of the machine. In addition to standard displays such as temperature, tank filling, or operating hours, active functions, such as active electrical functions, the continuous operation of the 3rd control circuit or the activated differential lock are displayed
  • Placed at the top right of the cab, the operator always has a good view of the display without it obstructing the view.
  • The various functions and settings are controlled via the jog dial, which makes operation simple and convenient for the operator.

 

Joystick console spring-mounted on the operator's seat

  • The joystick console is mounted on the operator's seat and is cushioned against vibrations. If the operator's seat is adjusted to the operator's needs, the joystick console is also adjusted accordingly and always has the perfect position, a plus in comfort and ergonomics for the operator.
  • The joystick console and the operator's seat form a single unit. This means that the operator's arm position is not changed while working with the machine. This increases comfort for the operator allowing them to work for longer without fatigue.

Rear articulated joint and oscillating axle

  • Due to their size and weight, machines with a bucket volume greater than 1.96 yd3 are equipped with an articulated joint and oscillating axle in the rear. This ensures optimum maneuverability and traction in conjunction with a high level of driving comfort for fatigue-free work.

Efficient change of attachments

  • Thanks to the hydraulic quickhitch system, attachments can be readily exchanged. In this way, your machine is immediately ready for use again. This increases productivity and profitability.
  • The hydraulic quick-change system for attachments is standard on all Wacker Neuson wheel loaders.
  • The good view of the coupling points makes changing attachments very easy. Also, changing over is particularly safe with 2-hand operation when decoupling.

  • In all Wacker Neuson wheel loaders, there is a consistent operating concept with clearly structured and ergonomically arranged switches and keypads. All Wacker Neuson wheel loaders can be operated in a very similar or even identical way. This gives the operator the advantage of quickly finding his way around on different Wacker Neuson wheel loaders and being able to work productively.
  • The Wacker Neuson operating philosophy allows the operator to easily understand the machine, which enables him to work safely and productively. The operator can be found operating different Wacker Neuson machines, even across product groups. This is demonstrated, for example, in recurring elements such as the jog dial, joystick, display, switch assignments, etc.

 

Ergonomic Joystick

  • The joystick fits securely and comfortably in one hand. The control is direct and sensitive at the same time. The operator therefore always has complete control over the machine and its most important functions.
  • In addition to standard functions such as direction selection and speed setting, many other functions such as the differential lock, the 3rd and 4th control circuits, high-flow, and all electric functions can be operated via the joystick. This results in convenient one-handed operation of attachments, and the operator always has the most important functions under control. This increases efficiency and ensures fatigue-free work, even over longer periods.

 

Ergonomic cockpit

  • Plenty of legroom, clearly arranged controls, comfortable operator’s seat, and optimal view of the attachment. A work area that motivates the operator and fully supports them.
  • The coordinated equipment increases comfort and allows the operator to work optimally with the machine for longer periods of time.

 

Comfortable working environment

  • The efficiently designed heating and ventilation system with fan, fresh air filter and well-placed air nozzles keeps the cab in a comfortable working climate.
  • Sufficient air nozzles are installed depending on the type of cab, which enables good air circulation and makes the working climate pleasant for the operator.

 

Comfortable and ergonomic operator's seat

  • The operator’s seat is adjustable, ergonomically formed and well suspended. The joystick console including armrest forms a unit with the operator’s seat and is cushioned against vibrations. The optional air-suspension comfort seat provides even more pleasant conditions. A heated seat is available for cold temperatures. This increases comfort for the operator allowing them to work with the machine for longer without fatigue.
  • Depending on the model, different seats are available to match the size of the machine. The various seat adjustment options allow individual settings for the operator and thus provide optimum comfort.

 

Vibration-damped workstation

  • Vibration is absorbed by the machine through appropriate dampers. The operator's body is very well protected, allowing work for longer periods with the machine in a relaxed and fatigue-free manner.
  • The operator's concentration is less affected by vibrations and jolts, allowing for longer, efficient work.

 

Load arm damping with automatic function

  • The lifting arm damping can be activated electrically and enables optimum handling of the machine on rough terrain and on the road. It is particularly recommended when the machine has to move a heavy load in the bucket or a heavy attachment over a long distance at high speed. In this case, the lifting arm damping provides increased safety and comfort for the operator.
  • Lifting arm damping prevents the machine from rocking at high travel speeds. This increases safety for the operator and protects the vehicle components by absorbing shocks.
  • The lifting arm damping can be switched off completely or switched on permanently. There is also an automatic function. Here, the jog dial is used to set the ground speed at which the lifting arm damping is automatically activated. If the set ground speed is not reached again, the lifting arm damping is also deactivated automatically. This offers the operator maximum comfort and safety.

 

Hand inching (low-speed control)

  • With the manual inching (low-speed drive system), very slow travel speeds can be achieved at constant engine speed. This offers an advantage when using attachments that are operated at constantly high rpm but at a very low travel speed at the same time. When using a sweeper, for example, the foot pedal does not have to be permanently depressed, which in turn reduces wear.
  • The hand inching (low-speed drive system) enables comfortable and fatigue-free work with the same attachment even over a longer period of time.

 

Manual throttle

  • The hand throttle allows manual regulation of a constant engine speed for optimum operation of an attachment. The setting is done conveniently and precisely via a corresponding control lever.

Automatic bucket return

  • The bucket return automatic is positioned within easy reach on the joystick, and with just one push of a button, the position of the attachment mount is remembered. During the next loading process, the attachment can thus be positioned back to exactly the same position.
  • There is extra comfort, precision, and speed for the operator when performing repetitive tasks, such as stacking work or filling containers with a fixed height or truck dropsides.

 

PERFORMANCE

100 % connectible differential lock

  • The connectible 100% differential lock provides maximum traction and thrusting power when needed. It also keeps tire wear low. This increases the efficiency of the machine.
  • During normal operation the differential lock is deactivated, this provides safety, low wear and, as a result, saves in operating costs.

 

High hydraulic performance

  • A Wacker Neuson wheel loader always has enough hydraulic output and is thus suited for the operation of many different attachments, which in turn makes a great variety of applications areas possible.
  • The flexible combination with various attachments reduces the total fleet and thus the total cost of ownership (TCO).
  • Compact machines with high hydraulic output save money, as it is not necessary to immediately procure or use a bigger machine.

 

Perfectly tuned kinematics

  • The kinematics are adapted to the size of the machine - this ensures optimum force ratios and maximum productivity for each machine.
  • The optimal matching and quality of workmanship of the loader boom design and hydraulic cylinders increases the machine's longevity and thus provides added value for the customer by increasing efficiency when working.
  • The theoretical maximum possible lifting capacity of the machine is always greater than the actual tipping load. The large hydraulic cylinders thus always offer enough reserves and the cylinders are not operated at maximum.

 

Machine parameters adjustable via Jog Dial

  • The Jog Dial control element enables various machine parameters and functions to be operated and read out via the display: This includes setting the loading oscillation damping, reading out the operating hours and machine information or keeping track of service intervals. The jog dial is positioned within easy reach of the operator's work area.
  • If necessary, the flow rate of the hydraulic oil can be manually set using the jog dial control element. This is advantageous if the machine drives a hydraulic attachment, which does not require the full hydraulic performance of the machine. The operator can work with the machine and attachment very sensitively and in a resource-conserving way.
  • In the event of a servicing requirement, the Jog Dial can quickly provide the important error messages and required machine information. This speeds up diagnosis and reduces machine downtime.

Optimum tires

  • The right tires for a wheel loader play an important role in actual use. If the tires are optimally matched to the ground and the area of application, the driver can work with the machine without any problems.
  • Choosing the right tires provides maximum traction as well as minimal wear, which saves money because tires don't need to be changed frequently.
  • To achieve optimal performance on any subbase, seven treads are available for selection depending on model: EM tread, AS tread, SureTrax tread, RP tread, MPT tread, multi-use tread and Bibload tread. This ensures the maximum flexibility of the machine ex work.

Comfortable Cab

  • The spacious and comfortable cab meets the current European Machinery Directive in accordance with ROPS and FOPS protection and offers plenty of headroom and freedom of movement. This provides an excellent overview of the attachments, the immediate working area, and the entire machine surroundings, which in turn increases occupational safety as the operator always has the machine surroundings within view.

MAINTENANCE

Optimal service accesses

  • The machine has easily accessible access panels and the mudguards can be removed. This allows easy access to the engine, hydraulic system, and electronics. This greatly facilitates the inspection and maintenance of the machine. The engine hood can be opened widely, thereby allowing for optimal access.
  • For more major maintenance work, the cab can be tilted to the side if necessary with the aid of a crane or fork lift. This way, the cab does not have to be completely dismantled. This results in reduced machine downtimes and thus lower total operating costs.
  • The simple and fast serviceability automatically maximizes the availability of the machine. This in turn reduces the total cost of ownership (TCO).

 

Easily accessible machine components.

  • Regularly lubricating all lubrication points is essential for the correct and effective maintenance and thereby the value retention of the machine. To save time and make work easier, the lubrication points on Wacker Neuson wheel loaders are always in an easily accessible position.
  • Since the lubrication points are easily accessible, the machine is lubricated more often than if the lubrication points are located in a position that is difficult to access. This in turn increases the longevity of the machine and increases value retention.

 

Split hydraulic hoses

  • Wacker Neuson wheel loaders are designed with short hydraulic hose lengths in mind, and the hoses are split at several points. Therefore, if a hydraulic hose needs replacing, only the affected part will need to be replaced, not the entire hose in the hydraulic circuit. This speeds up repair times enormously and is also cost-efficient.

 

Fully automatic central lubrication unit

  • The hydraulic motor and pump are designed so that the fan's airflow can be reversed (reversing capability). EFFICIENCY 

Inch brake pedal: Engine output where it is needed.

  • 1. No pressure on inch brake pedal: full power for the drive system 2. Slightly depressed inch-brake pedal: speed is reduced, more power to the work hydraulics. 3. Firmly depressed brake-inch pedal: The speed is reduced further, even more power to the work hydraulics. 4. Fully depressed inch-brake pedal: the wheel loader stands still, full power to the work hydraulics.
  • The advantages of the inch-brake pedal are obvious: less wear on the operating brake and optimum power distribution of the engine output.

 

Flexible trailer operation

  • The machine can tow a trailer thanks to the optional ball hitch. Depending on the model, an automatic trailer hitch (fixed or height-adjustable), a height-adjustable ball-head trailer hitch, or an Auto-Hitch trailer hitch are available. The weight of the trailer depends on the machine size or weight.
  • To safely move trailer loads, there is both a two-line pneumatic brake as well as a hydraulic trailer brake.
  • The ability to tow a trailer expands the machine's range of applications and offers more flexibility, as no additional towing vehicle is needed. This makes the machine multifunctional.

 

Rear hydraulic connections

  • The machine can be equipped with rear hydraulic connections (single or double-acting). This increases the machine's range of applications because rear hydraulic attachments or tipper trailers can also be operated.
